It's about 12:50am on Saturday night and I have just finished packing for what will be an amazing two weeks. I am truley excited to see what great things are to happen and to be able to then share my experiences with all of you. My flight will be leaving tomorrow at 3:50pm where 10 hours later I will land in London. Once arriving in London, I will have a 10 hour lay over and then travel 10 more hours until my final stop, Lusaka Zambia. I ask all of you to pray for safe travel and for God to use every team member to glorify his name. I thank everyone for their support and prayers and look forward to updating everyone with what great things are happening.

- My name is Alicia and I am 32 years old and I have been married 3 years to my wonderful husband Micah. I have been actively involved with Breath of Heaven Children's Ministries since 2006. This ministry is dedicated in helping meet the needs of the growing orphan population in Lusaka, Zambia. This will be my 4th trip to Zambia and I am excited and blessed to see what God has planned for me. This trip has a much different focus than previous trips. For 2 weeks our team will be focused on teaching the children the foundations of reading. Starting first with individual assessments and then teaching the sounds of speech, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, spelling, writing, and comprehension. We have a great work ahead of us but know that through God all things are possible.
